Snowshoe RUN

29 Jan

The Frozen Zucchini is truly the frozen zucchini this year.  Due to the low snowfall has caused us to make the snowshoe run and No Snowshoe Run.  We are as disappointed as you are.  We hope that you can still break out your running shoes for a run that will resemble a trail run.  The ice and little snow that is on the trail will be a challenge, so run with caution.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning.

Packet Pick Up & Snowshoe Pick Up (Come on Snow!)

Frozen Zucchini Kids’ Events Update

16 Jan

Frozen Zucchini will once again host kids’ events the day of the race.  The events are free to participants and volunteers.  Here’s a few more requests from the FZ team:

1.  Kids must be 6-12 years old. We will take up to 20 kids.
2.  Please do not use this as a babysitting opportunity.  At least one parent/responsible adult must be either a race participant or volunteer.
3.  Before leaving dropping your kids off for the events, parents have to give us a contact number in case of emergency.
4.  Kids must be dressed to participate in outdoor games (no flip-flops!).
If you are interested in participating, please email the Frozen Zucchini team with your kids’ name(s) and age(s) prior to the event.  You can email us at frozenzucchini@gmail.com.  Space is limited so be sure to send an email if interested.  Pre-registered kids have priority.
Kids may arrive as early as 9:30am.  They must be picked up by the end of the race.
Looking forward to another successful Frozen Zucchini kids event extravanganza.

Volunteers Wanted!

8 Dec

The Frozen Zucchini 2012 is looking for a few good volunteers for the January 29th event.  Last year we enjoyed the support of our volunteers, and I have a feeling that our volunteers enjoyed themselves.  We’d love to have you join the team this year.  Please email us at smartfarmvolunteers@gmail.com if you’re interested. There are lots of opportunities; just give us some time and we’ll give you one of the best January morning’s you’ve ever experienced.

Save on your FZ registration.

15 Nov

Sign up by Nov. 15th for the 2012 Frozen Zucchini and save yourself a few hundred pennies for the holiday shopping.  Hey….that’s not a bad idea, why not give a 2012 Frozen Zucchini Snowshoe Adventure for a holiday gift!  Wow…the Smart Farmers keep providing even as the garden is closing.

Did you miss the Nov. 15th date; you can still save some greens.  If you sign up by Dec. 15th, you can secure your registration for $45.

See you at the 2012 FZ!
